Surveyor under this agreement as shall reasonably be considered <br />necessary by City may be retained until disposition has been made <br />of any claim for damages. <br /> <br />Section H - Prevailing Wages <br /> <br />To the extent that the prevailing wage requirements of the State <br />of California (Labor Code Section 1770 et seq.) apply to <br />professional surveying work, it shall be the obligation of the <br />Surveyor to comply with said laws. <br /> <br />Section I - Consultant's Status <br /> <br />In the performance of the obligations set forth in this <br />agreement, Consultant shall have the status of an independent <br />contractor, and Consultant shall not be considered to be an <br />employee of the City for any purpose. All persons working for or <br />under the direction of Consultant are its agents, servants, and <br />employees and are not agents, servants, or employees of City. <br /> <br />Section J - Scope of Agreement <br /> <br />This writing constitutes the entire agreement between the parties <br />relative to the consulting services, and no modification is <br />evidenced by a writing signed by both parties to this agreement. <br /> <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto affix their signatures <br />to this Agreement this 5th day of May, 1987. <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ATTEST: BY: <br />Kenneth R.
