PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-3~ <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE PUD-85-2-2D-1M, <br />APPLICATION OF VAL STROUGH AUTO VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, Val Strough Auto Village has applied for a major <br />modification to an approved development plan for an <br />existing automobile sales and service complex to provide <br />for expansion of facilities including approximately <br />4,075 sq. ft. of additional sales/service area, parking, <br />signage, and related improvements located at 4341 <br />Rosewood Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, in December 1985, Val Strough Company received PUD <br />approval to construct an auto village on the <br />approximately 5.8 acre site located at 4341 Rosewood <br />Drive. This approval allowed for construction of four <br />separate buildings in which four dealerships would be <br />accommodated. Val Strough has subsequently added a <br />fifth dealership, Suzuki, and is seeking approval of a <br />major modification to the PUD to allow building, parking <br />and signage expansions in order to accommodate the new <br />dealership; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of March 23, 1988, <br />the Planning, Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from <br />the requirements of the California Environmental Quality <br />Act; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal is in conformance with the purposes of the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development) District. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section <br />OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />Recommends approval of Case PUD-85-2-2D-1M, the <br />application of Val Strough Auto Village for a major <br />modification to an approved development plan for an <br />existing automobile sales and service complex located at <br />4341 Rosewood Drive to provide for expansion of <br />facilities and related improvements subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />1. That the project <br />plans, Exhibit A, <br />Department except <br />be substantially as shown on the <br />on file with the Planning <br />that no additional service area <br />- 1 - <br />
