Project site, to increase the density of development on the <br />21.8 acre area known as Land Unit B, and to increase the lot <br />size and reduce the density of development on the 116:2-acre <br />area known as Land Unit A. The Project was also revised to <br />provide a five (5) acre public neighborhood park, and to <br />provide a wildlife buffer area on the northern boundary of the <br />Project site. <br />2. Findings. <br />a. The City Council finds that the Project <br />and subsequent development of the Project site will change the <br />character of the site from agricultural to residential use, and <br />that such residential use complies with the City's General Plan. <br />b. The City Council finds that the <br />property is surrounded by developed land and by a freeway. The <br />City Council further finds that, considering the preservation <br />of the Alviso Adobe as part of a historic park, the <br />preservation of a 5-acre neighborhood park, the designation of <br />a wildlife corridor and other measures incorporated into this <br />Project, the land use impacts of the Project do not constitute <br />a significant adverse effect upon the environment. <br />c. The City Council finds that, to the <br />eztent that any land use impacts could constitute a significant <br />impact, the above-referenced measures incorporated into this <br />Project, and mitigation measures which will be imposed in <br />connection with future approvals necessary for development of <br />3 <br />
