necessary for the development of the Project site have
mitigated or will mitigate to a level of insignificance any
impacts of the Project upon gas and electricity services or
supplies.
M. pubic Services And Utilities-Fire Protection.
1. Facts.
Fire protection for the Project site would be provided
by the City of Pleasanton Fire Department, and the site is not
located within a high fire hazard area, as stated on page 70 of
the DEIR. The DEIR notes at page 71 that residential
development on the Project site would add to the cumulative
demand for fire services, but would not create an identifiable
need for additional personnel or equipment in order to meet the
projected increase and demand.
The Project does not contain any mitigation measures
relating to fire protection, but the DEIR recommends on page 71
two additional mitigation measures. The DEIR first recommends
that Project plans be reviewed by fire and police department
personnel to assure emergency access.
The DEIR also recommends that if a Pzoject alternative
requiring amendment of the general plan is adopted, then long
range forecasts should be modified to reflect the increase in
the general plan holding capacity. This second recommended
mitigation measure refers to schools and is identical to a
recommended mitigation measure appearing on page 74 of the DEIR
in the discussion of impacts relating to schools.
28
