PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-30 ~/
RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR
ROBERTA QUINN, AS FILED UNDER CASE UP-88-2 /
WHEREAS, Roberta Quinn has applied for a conditional use permit
to operate a recreational facility to be located at
7020-B Commerce Drive; and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is IG (General Industrial)
District; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of March 9, 1988,
the Planning Commission considered all public testimony,
relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff
concerning this proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings:
A. That the proposed function of the conditional use
is in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance and the
purpose of the district in which the site is
located.
The purpose of the I-G (General Industrial) zoning
district is to provide locations where industries
that are not compatible with most uses can operate
without adverse effects. The proposed "jazzercise"
use would be compatible with the surrounding
industrial uses and would be an amenity to local
employees.
B. That the proposed location of the conditional use
and the conditions under which it will be operated
or maintained will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety, or welfare, or be materially
injurious to the properties in the vicinity.
As conditioned, the proposed use will not adversely
affect the surrounding businesses or restrict the
availability of parking spaces in the shared
parking lot. The proposed use is operated indoors
and would, therefore, not interfere with the
surrounding uses.
C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with
each of the applicable provisions of the zoning
ordinance.
As conditioned, the proposed use will comply with
all requirements of the zoning ordinance.
- 1 -
