PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-42
RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE UP-88-11 PLEASANTON COMMUNITY
CHURCH
WHEREAS, Pleasanton Community Church has applied for a
conditional use permit to operate a church within an
existing office/industrial complex located at 4455
Stoneridge Drive; and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit
Development) - Industrial District; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 11, 1988,
the Planning Commission considered all public testimony,
relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff
concerning this application; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings
concerning this application:
A. That the proposed location of the conditional use
is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning
ordinance and the purposes of the district in which
the site is located.
The proposed use will utilize an existing parking
facility. The use, as proposed, should not
conflict with existing or proposed uses in this
zoning district. The site is adjacent to City
arterials and is in close proximity to the Hopyard
Road/Interstate 580 interchange. The location
should facilitate commuter traffic movement as
intended. The finding of consistency with zoning
district objectives and purposes is made.
B. That the proposed location of the conditional use
and the conditions under which it would be operated
or maintained will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious
to the properties or improvements in the vicinity.
The proposed use should not adversely affect the
operations or uses of adjacent properties. The
site has been used previously as a parking facility
without conflicts. Improvements are in place and
the proposed use will require little or no
alterations to the site. The proposed BART bus
operations to the site should not conflict with
street circulation as the site has frontage on
public streets where improvements are in place.
- 1 -
