DISCUSSION <br />Fehr & Peers is one of several consulting firms that are recognized as national experts <br />in pedestrian and bicycle planning. Their detailed knowledge of federal and state grant <br />funding will ensure that the projects proposed by the Master Plan have the maximum <br />opportunity for state and federal grant funding. <br />Staff has worked with Fehr & Peers on previous transportation planning projects and <br />found their work to be of good quality. Staff reviewed Pedestrian and Bicycle Master <br />Plans prepared by Fehr & Peers, including the City of Dublin's Bikeways Master Plan, <br />and found them to be detailed and comprehensive. In addition, staff checked <br />references provided by Fehr & Peers and found that other agencies are satisfied with <br />the master plans prepared by Fehr & Peers. <br />Staff has met with Fehr & Peers to clarify the scope of work for the project, and is <br />recommending, along with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, the <br />approval of the agreement for preparation of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan for <br />the not-to-exceed amount of $100,000.00. <br />Submitted by: <br />~.~C.
