EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF WORK Develop and Deliver a Pedestrian & Bicycle Master Plan. The end product shall be a Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan that includes the elements listed below. The final document shall be provided in both hardcopy and electronic format. The Master Plan must give equal weight to pedestrian and bicycle planning. Each element below should contain separate sections for bicycle and pedestrian information. Scope of work shall include but not be limited to: a. Survey and Analysis of Existing Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities - Perform a field inventory within the City of Pleasanton to identify all existing bicycle facilities including Class Imulti-use paths, Class II bike lanes, Class III bike routes, and bicycle parking. Perform field audit of condition of existing bicycle facilities to determine if facilities meet current standards for design, installation, and maintenance. The bicycle facility inventory will include: • Location, segment length and classification of all existing bikeways • Pavement markings • Number of adjacent auto lanes, speed limit, and arterial crossings • Average daily traffic (where available) • Provision and type of vehicle parking (parallel, diagonal, or perpendicular) • Substandard sections, gaps, bottlenecks, and maintenance problems • Bike racks, showers & locker facilities • Connection point to alternative modes of transportation • Location and type of bicycle signage • Physical hazards Perform field inventory and audit of pedestrian facilities including sidewalks and crosswalks for Downtown Pleasanton including Civic Center, Alameda County Fairgrounds & Ace Train Station vicinity, BART station vicinity, Stoneridge Mall and vicinity, and 1000 foot radius of all schools and parks. Perform field audit of condition of existing pedestrian facilities to determine if facilities meet current standards for design, installation, and maintenance including ADA deficiencies.
