EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Develop and Deliver a Pedestrian & Bicycle Master Plan. The end product shall <br />be a Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan that includes the elements listed below. The <br />final document shall be provided in both hardcopy and electronic format. The Master <br />Plan must give equal weight to pedestrian and bicycle planning. Each element below <br />should contain separate sections for bicycle and pedestrian information. Scope of <br />work shall include but not be limited to: <br />a. Survey and Analysis of Existing Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities - <br />Perform a field inventory within the City of Pleasanton to identify all <br />existing bicycle facilities including Class Imulti-use paths, Class II bike <br />lanes, Class III bike routes, and bicycle parking. Perform field audit of <br />condition of existing bicycle facilities to determine if facilities meet <br />current standards for design, installation, and maintenance. <br />The bicycle facility inventory will include: <br />• Location, segment length and classification of all existing <br />bikeways <br />• Pavement markings <br />• Number of adjacent auto lanes, speed limit, and arterial crossings <br />• Average daily traffic (where available) <br />• Provision and type of vehicle parking (parallel, diagonal, or <br />perpendicular) <br />• Substandard sections, gaps, bottlenecks, and maintenance <br />problems <br />• Bike racks, showers & locker facilities <br />• Connection point to alternative modes of transportation <br />• Location and type of bicycle signage <br />• Physical hazards <br />Perform field inventory and audit of pedestrian facilities including <br />sidewalks and crosswalks for Downtown Pleasanton including Civic <br />Center, Alameda County Fairgrounds & Ace Train Station vicinity, BART <br />station vicinity, Stoneridge Mall and vicinity, and 1000 foot radius of all <br />schools and parks. Perform field audit of condition of existing pedestrian <br />facilities to determine if facilities meet current standards for design, <br />installation, and maintenance including ADA deficiencies. <br />
