THE CITY OF <br />_ _ '---- <br />nL£~S~NTONo CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />1 <br />March 18, 2008 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: APPROVAL OF CONSULTANT AGREEMENT WITH FEHR & PEERS <br />TRANSPORTATION CONSULTANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 TO <br />PROVIDE PLANNING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR <br />PREPARATION OF THE PLEASANTON PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE <br />MASTER PLAN <br />SUMMARY <br />A grant has been received from the Alameda County Transportation Improvement <br />Authority (ACTIA) for preparation of a Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan. The Bicycle <br />and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and staff are recommending the selection of Fehr & <br />Peers Transportation Consultants for the project. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Approve the contract with Fehr & Peers Transportation Consultants to provide <br />planning and engineering services for preparation of the Pleasanton Pedestrian <br />and Bicycle Master Plan for the not-to-exceed amount of $100,000. <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached contract. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The funding for this project is provided by a grant of $111,000.00 from ACTIA. The <br />grant provides $100,000 for consultant costs to prepare the Master Plan and $11,000 <br />for City staff costs. This project is included in the current City of Pleasanton Capital <br />Improvement Program, CIP #077031. <br />
