FOR THE CITY'S TURNOUT <br />NO. 6 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE VINEYARD CORRIDOR <br />SPECIFIC PLAN AREA, CIP NO. 011023-T.O. <br />SUMMARY <br />Construction of the subject project is complete and is ready for acceptance. The project <br />consisted of constructing improvements to an existing Zone 7/City of Pleasanton water <br />turnout (metering station) to serve new development in the Vineyard Corridor Specific <br />Plan (VCSP) area. This project was part of the overall water facilities identified in the <br />VCSP. The Specific Plan provided for the construction of improvements to the Zone 7 <br />turnout, a new water booster pump station, a new 1.4 million gallon buried concrete <br />water storage tank, an access road, water pipeline and appurtenant infrastructure <br />facilities. The water tank/water pipeline and access road construction is near <br />completion and the new pump station should be completed within the next few months. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Accept the improvements for this project. <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project. <br />3. Authorize final payment to Gateway Pacific Contractors, Inc. in the amount of <br />$4,171.96. <br />4. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $22,863.26 to Gateway Pacific <br />Contractors, Inc. thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />This project is part of the City's water supply infrastructure planned and approved as <br />part of the Vineyard Corridor Specific Plan area. It is expected that operation of this <br />facility will add minimal costs to the City's annual water enterprise operating costs. <br />
