Budget
The Capital Improvement Program has identified PS-6 for wet well and pumps
replacement, with an amount of $500,000 being budgeted in Fiscal Years 2001-02,
2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07. Funds were borrowed from this CIP to
undertake emergency repairs when heavy storms exposed a sewer pipeline under the
Arroyo Mocho and eroded soil support for the line. All funds set aside for this
emergency project, except funds reserved for required monitoring, have since been
reimbursed by FEMA and the State Office of Emergency Services. The current budget
balance for this project, less this engineering design contract, is $2,017,982. The pre-
design study indicates a preliminary cost estimate for construction of the new pump
station at $2,500,000. This estimate does not include engineering and construction
support services. It appears that additional funding will be needed when the project is
ready for construction. Staff will prepare a request for an allocation of additional funds
for the next Capital Improvement Project (CIP) budget and/or Budget Option Plan, for
approval.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approve by:
~.-c~.,.~. c - . -~--
Rob Wilson David P.
