FOR THE VETERANS' MEMORIAL BUILDING <br />RENOVATION PROJECT, CIP NO. 008039 <br />SUMMARY <br />The Veterans' Memorial Building Renovation Project is complete and ready for <br />acceptance. The project consisted of seismic upgrading, accessibility upgrading, new <br />fire sprinkler and alarm systems, a new electrical system and lighting, new plumbing <br />and HVAC systems, kitchen upgrades, acoustical improvements, new casework, and <br />the conservation of historical finishes throughout the building. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project. <br />3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $388,520.20 to BBI <br />Construction, thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br />4. Authorize final payment to BBI Construction in the amount of $41,082.68 <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There will be a minimal increase in operating costs due to the installation of the HVAC <br />system. <br />
