THE CITY OF <br />-° ,,,s ° -~-" '"'- CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />~L£~S~4NTON® <br />February 19, 2008 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: APPROVAL OF THIRD AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />WITH DOWLING AND ASSOCIATES FOR TRAFFIC MODELING OF <br />GENERAL PLAN AND ON-CALL SERVICES <br />SUMMARY <br />Dowling Associates has provided traffic modeling services to the City of Pleasanton <br />since 2002. Dowling Associates currently operates and maintains the City of Pleasanton <br />Traffic Model and is one of several firms that are used for on-call traffic modeling <br />services. In addition to these on-call services, Dowling Associates has been used <br />exclusively for the General Plan update. The Circulation Element of the General Plan is <br />beginning the Environmental Review process and a contract amendment is necessary <br />to continue to use Dowling and Associates for this work as well as the continued on-call <br />services. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the Third Amendment to the agreement with Dowling and Associates to <br />provide on-call traffic modeling services for an amount not-to-exceed $100,000 for <br />Fiscal Year 2007/08 per the contract fee schedule. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />Funds for this work are included within the approved Public Works Operations and <br />Capital Improvement Program budgets, and as special funding for the General Plan <br />Update. A significant amount of additional work to prepare development specific traffic <br />impact reports will be funded through a reimbursement process by project developers. <br />
