RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF CITIZENS' OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY <br />PROGRAM FUNDS (COPS) <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 19, 2008, the City Council was presented <br />a report recommending the use of Citizens' Option for Public Safety (COPS) funds <br />received from the State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the Government Code and in <br />accordance with AB 1584. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for <br />expenditures of COPS funds, which are as follows: <br />Approximate <br />Allocation <br />Police building security upgrades $34,000 <br />Refurbishing of six police patrol vehicles 25,000 <br />SWAT Utility Trailer 15,650 <br />Heckler and Koch .223 weapon system 12,550 <br />Digital personal recorders 11,778 <br />Evidence storage freezers 10,440 <br />Cellular telephone information acquisition software 7,000 <br />SWAT tactical radios 5,000 <br />Tactical vests with patches and police insignia 4,100 <br />Recruitment and staff development materials 3,190 <br />"McGruff the Crime Dog" costume 1,802 <br />CPR/First Aid/AED training dummies 850 <br />Rugged Drag/Rescue Dummy 850 <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting <br />held on the 19"' day of February 2008. <br />
