• Recruitment and staff development materials ($3,190) <br />Attracting qualified employees is becoming more difficult because of varying <br />factors. These funds will be used for the purpose of developing appropriate and <br />contemporary recruitment materials for use during recruitment fares, academy <br />presentations and community events. <br />• "McGruff the Crime Dog" costume ($1,802) <br />"McGruff the Crime Dog" is an integral part of crime prevention programs during <br />community outreach events. These funds will be used to replace the current <br />McGruff costume which was purchased in the late 1980's and is in poor <br />condition. <br />• CPR/First Aid/AED Training Dummies ($850) <br />Law Enforcement officers are required to be trained and receive update training <br />in contemporary First aid and CPR techniques each year. The department <br />currently depends on availability from alternative sources that will either rent or <br />loan the training dummies to the department. This purchase will allow the police <br />department to have an adequate number of dummies to conduct training on our <br />schedule ensuring compliance with state mandates. <br />Rugged Drag/Rescue Dummy ($850) <br />Funds will be utilized to purchase aDrag/Rescue Dummy to provide realistic <br />training for first responders, police applicants and tactical teams.
