Exhibit A <br />Scope of Services <br />for <br />Playground Renovation Project <br />at <br />Amaral, Meadowlark, Tennis & Community and Valley Trails Parks <br />January 14, 2008 <br />Tanaka Design Group will be responsible for providing all proposed services and products as outlined <br />below: <br />Work Product No. 1 Site Analysis and Concept Development: <br />^ Gather all existing information as available, such as plot plans and surveys, documentation describing <br />adjacent improvements, easements, restrictions, previously prepared development drawings, <br />geotechnical engineering or soil evaluation reports, etc. <br />^ Conduct Site Investigations to compare actual existing conditions with record documents; field <br />measure required to develop accurate base plan information. <br />^ Begin meetings with Staff to receive their ideas, concerns and questions regarding the apparatus <br />areas. <br />• Identify City's preference for playground manufacturers. <br />^ Coordinate with selected manufacturer(s) todevelop design program, budget and conceptual plans <br />for Staff review and comments. <br />^ Confirm design information reflecting desired elements from the Staff, and receive ongoing directions. <br />^ Prepare Conceptual Design Plans, including various options and/or alternatives, for general <br />discussion with Staff. <br />Work Product No. 2: Construction Document Package <br />^ Upon receiving Staff approval of the conceptual plans and associated budgets, begin preparation of <br />construction documents. <br />^ Submit in-progress construction documents (at 50% and 90% completion), including Existing <br />Conditions and Demolition Plans, Site Plans, Playground Equipment Plans, Grading and Drainage <br />Plans, Details and Specifications to Staff for review and feedback. <br />^ Prepare and submit final 100% Construction Document package. <br />End of Exhibit A <br />
