o CH2N HILL will submit five sets of 90 percent level <br /> plans and specifications to the City for review. <br /> <br /> o -After incorporatin~ any review comments, CH2N HILL <br /> will submit to the City one set of reproducible <br /> diazo mylar plans, 50 sets of half-sized plans, <br /> and 50 sets of bound specifications. We assume <br /> that one set of drawings includes 35 sheets. Ad- <br /> ditional sets will be printed at cost plus 10 per- <br /> cent. <br /> <br />TASK 4 SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />The following tasks include activities related to the bid <br />and award and services during construction of the reservoir <br />and transmission line. We have assumed a 2-month bid and <br />award period and a 9-month construction period. Also in- <br />cluded is construction site surveying and staking. <br /> <br />Subtask 4A: Bidding Assistance <br /> <br /> o Answer contractor questions during the bidding <br /> period. <br /> <br /> o Conduct prebid conference and walk-through at the <br /> project site with contractors. <br /> <br /> o Issue contract document addenda during the bidding <br /> period. <br /> <br /> o Evaluate contractor bids and recommend award of <br /> the construction contract. <br /> <br /> o Conduct a preconstruction conference with the <br /> selected contractor. <br /> <br />Subtask 4B: Services Duri.~g Construction <br /> <br /> o Provide full-time onsite construction inspection <br /> services. An experienced inspector will be as- <br /> signed to the project to monitor the construction <br /> for compliance with the Contract Documents. The <br /> inspector will be responsible for: <br /> <br /> - Determining compliance of the materials and <br /> workmanship with requirements of plans and <br /> specifications. <br /> <br /> - Reviewing the Contractor's unit or lump sum <br /> quantities for payment purposes. <br /> <br /> A-4 <br /> <br /> <br />
