Exhibit A <br /> <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> SYCAMORE RESERVOIR AND TRANSMISSION PIPELINE <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 2 <br /> <br /> This Amendment is for design and construction management <br /> services for the Sycamore Reservoir and Transmission Pipe- <br /> line. <br /> <br /> TASK 2 ADDITIONAl, FIELD INVESTIGATIONr COORDINATIONt AND <br /> PERMITTING <br /> <br /> Subtask 2A: Geotechnical Investigation <br /> <br /> This work will include additional deep borings and laboratory <br /> testing of soils at the selected reservoir and bridge sites <br /> to determine parameters for final design. We assume that <br /> four borings will be required.at the reservoir site and that <br /> one boring will be required at the access bridge site. The <br /> access bridge is assumed to be a single-lane 20-foot span <br /> concrete structure. A final geotechnical report summarizing <br /> the work performed will be written and delivered to the City. <br /> <br /> Subtask 2B: Right-of-Way and Easement <br /> <br />When the general site has been identified and size parame- <br />ters defined, the specific easement requirements for the <br />road, site, and transmission and overflow lines will be de- <br />termined so the City may obtain needed easements. <br /> <br /> Subtask 2C: Plat Preparation and Surveys <br /> <br />All of the above detailed factors will be incorporated into <br />the necessary plats and maps for the site. Field surveys <br />will establish'appropriate support data for preparation of <br />finalized maps, plats, and legal descriptions. <br /> <br />Subtask 2D: Site Procurement <br /> <br />CH2M HILL will assist the City in site procurement activities <br />and may include assistance as needed for environmental docu- <br />mentation. <br /> <br />Subtask 2E: Permitting <br /> <br />CH2M MILL will monitor the progress of approvals and permits <br />required from the County of Alameda for completion of this <br />project and provide information as necessary to expedite <br />approvals.
