In addition, my "hawkhouse" is in accord with city ordinances re backyard structures. In accordance with our municipal code, it appears that there is a disstindion to be made, as you have argued, between the term "raptor and the term "fowl " My bird (a first year Red Tail Hawk) would be mortified to be called a "fowl", nonetheless, Ariel and myself will make an application for a conditional use permit, to alkriv her to remain, under previously granted federal and state guidelines. Dear Nelson and Michael: 1 appreciate that the city recognises Ms. Hostertnan has been in violation of municipal Dods for some time with respect to the capture raptor kept on her premises wittwut an associated conditional use permit. I am pursuing this matter as I fimmly believe that our elected officials must be held to the same standards as other citizens. if not to a higher standard. tf a citizen was in violation of our zoning laws for an extended period of time, a citation would surely be issued. I presume in our Community of Character. no one woukt be considered above the law or exempt from station because of their status as an elected official. In addition, I respectfully request an electronic file download of all outgoing mail from the Mayor's city a-mail account over the past two years. This is a matter of public r~eoord. No internal a-mails or confidentiaUpersonnel related a-mails need be part of this request. I wit pay for whatever media (CD ROM, DVD ROM...) are required by the sly and wiN work with whomever the ctily designates at the technical staff to accomplish this within the 10 days required by state law.
