My husband and I reside at 623 Abbie St.Pleasanton .
Our home is located fairly close to Ms. Hosterman's home where the hawk is housed. In
addition at no time have I ever felt any threat or harm will come to our small Shit Tzu
'Jack', who is leashed outside on a daily basis.
An important reason we chose to live in Pleasanton is it's intertwined beauty lying within
our gloreous open spaces and hillsides. This afords us all to often marvel at animal life
in it's natural habitat I see wild hawks daily soaring above our yard as they look for
food. I've witness a large white owl lift it's nightly prey (a small roadant) from Abbie
St. while driving at night. As an adult I realize this is all a part of the life cycle .
I would like to commend Jennifer for 'practicing what she preaches'. She activly voices
her opinions reguarding respect and protection of our enviornment .In this case she is
using her time, resources, interest and talents, to restore this magnificant bird's health
so as he may be released back to the wild .
Carol Olson
1
