As I know you are, I am just striving for a technically accurate staff
report.
See you soon
Btw, I forgot to indicate that the quote definition came from Encarta...
Thanks
Phil
-----Original Message-----
From: Donna Decker <ddecker@ci.pleasanton.ca.us>
Sent: December 12, 2007 5:51 PM
To: Blank, Phil <pblank@probusiness.com>
Cc: Julie Harryman <jharryman@ci.pleasanton.ca.us>; Natalie Amos
<namos@ci.pleasanton.ca.us>
Subject: RE: Question about staff report
Phil,
Thank you for passing along this information. Staff and the attorney's office did not get
that technical when attempting to determine whether the Mayor's hawk might fall under the
definition of "fowl". We simply looked at Webster's Dictionary and it said fowl is "any
kind of bird".
If, however, you or the PC does not agree that a hawk falls under the meaning of "fowl" as
and instead describes only edible types of birds, then you certainly may state so and vote
to deny the CUP.
Staff appreciates the thought that you put into each and every application and project
that comes before you. We are copying this email and putting it on the dais for this
evening's meeting.
Donna
From: Blank, Phil
Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2007 3:05 PM
To: Donna Decker
Cc: Julie Harryman
Subject: Question about staff report
1
