THE CITY OF <br />-- N" ' -~- "" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />~L~£~S~4NTONm <br />January 15, 2008 <br />Planning and Community Development <br />TITLE: SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE CONSULTANT CONTRACT WITH <br />MUNDIE ~ ASSOCIATES TO PREPARE A SUPPLEMENTAL <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR) FOR THE HAPPY VALLEY <br />SPECIFIC PLAN MODIFICATION AND THE PUD DEVELOPMENT <br />PLAN APPROVAL FOR SPOTORNO RANCH (PUD-52) <br />SUMMARY <br />The Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Happy Valley Specific Plan modification <br />and the proposed PUD development plan for the Spotorno property have been an <br />ongoing effort. As the work has progressed, various interrelated impacts have been <br />discovered, resulting in not only additional work but also increased labor and materials <br />costs. A contract amendment is now being requested to increase the budget to <br />accommodate services not currently specified in the scope of work. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Approve the Second Contract Amendment to the Agreement for Professional <br />Services with Mundie & Associates for services related to the preparation of a <br />Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Happy Valley <br />Specific Plan modification and project approval, Spotorno Ranch (PUD-52). <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached second contract <br />amendment. <br />3. Authorize the City Manager to execute future contract amendments up to a <br />total contract amount of $275,000. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />This amendment will have no fiscal impact on the City. <br />
