AGREEMENT TO FURNISH CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> TO <br /> THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> FOR <br /> PROGRAM AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT OF NEW LIBRARY <br /> <br />For the consideration hereinafter set forth, the firm of <br />CH2M HILL, CALIFORNIA, INC., a professional engineering cor- <br />poration, hereinafter referred to as the CONSULTANT, agrees <br />to provide management services to the CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />hereinafter referred to as the CLIENT, for program and con- <br />struction management of a new Library facility being con- <br />structed in Pleasanton, hereinafter referred to as the PROJ- <br />ECT. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1 <br /> <br />The specific services which CONSULTANT agrees to furnish are <br />outlined in this article. <br /> <br />A. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES <br /> <br /> 1. Assume the role of Program Manager for the PROJ- <br /> ECT, and in that role, work closely with the des- <br /> ignated CLIENT staff. <br /> <br /> 2. Work with the CLIENT to analyze the project status <br /> and consider principal factors affecting the <br /> PROJECT. <br /> <br /> 3. Prepare a report that summarizes the results of <br /> the project status analysis, defines a recommended <br /> project organization, and recommends the major <br /> management priorities. <br /> <br /> 4. Provide active participation at meetings of the <br /> Library Committee. <br /> <br /> 5. Review existing contracts for professional ser- <br /> vices among the firms involved with the PROJECT <br /> and recommend to the CLIENT contract management <br /> actions that may be necessary to ensure that <br /> obligations are being fulfilled. <br /> <br /> 6. Based upon the management strategy selected by the <br /> CLIENT, prepare a Program Management Plan that <br /> details the procedures that will be used to manage <br /> and control the project through its various <br /> phases. <br /> <br /> 7. Develop and issue a responsibilities matrix that <br /> identifies all persons involved with the PROJECT, <br /> <br />SJR1/057 -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
