MEMORANDUM <br />July 8, 1977 <br />TO: Director of Planning <br />FROM: Director of Engineering Services <br />SUBJECT: Report on Tentative Map, Tract 3897, as <br />required by Section 2-2.07, Article 1, <br />Chapter 1, Title II of the Ordinance Code. <br />This report represents consideration by the Department of <br />Engineering Services and may not contain comments on all of <br />the concerns of other City Departments an interested public <br />agencies. <br />Streets <br />Hopyard Road and Black Avenue are existing and no changes are <br />contemplated. A four foot wide separated sidewalk will be re- <br />quired along the Black Avenue frontage with bicycle traffic in <br />the street area adjacent to the curb. A ten foot wide sidewalk <br />will be required along the Hopyard Road frontage for combined <br />pedestrian-bicycle use. A five foot wide sidewalk will be re- <br />quired adjacent tb the curb around the perimeter of the frontage <br />road bulb. <br />Handicapped ramps will be installed as required. <br />The interior streets will be nominal private drives with blanket <br />public service easements to afford access to service vehicles. <br />The precise design of these interior drives will be subject to <br />review of final design plans. 6" vertical concrete curbs will <br />be required adjacent to landscape areas. <br />Storm Drainage <br />Storm runoff from this development will be collected on site and <br />channeled to the existing on-site storm drain system. Concrete <br />valley gutters will be required along portions of the centerline <br />of the interior drives. Approval should be withheld pending final <br />design. <br />Sanitary Sewer System <br />Each dwelling unit in this development will have a private lateral <br />which connects to a public main in the interior drive. The pro- <br />posed public system will flow to the existing 10" sewer in Black <br />Avenue and then to the Sunol Plant. Approval should be withheld <br />pending final design. <br />
