PLANNING COMMISSION City of Pleasanton RESOLUTION NO. 1422 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR TODD OLESON. WHEREAS, Todd Oleson has applied for a conditional use permit to keep fowl at his residence at 3721 Ashwood Drive, zoning for the property being R-1-6500 (Single Family) District; and WHEREAS, a public hearing on this application has been held, the staff report received, and pertinent documents and testimony reviewed; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds as follows: A. That the proposed location of the conditional use permit at 3721 Ashwood Drive is in accord with the objectives of this chapter and the purposes of the district in which the site is located, in that the lot is deeper than the average single family lot. B. That the proposed location of the conditional use permit and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety or welfare or materially injurious to the proper- ties or improvements in the vicinity because the area in which the chickens would be kept would be screened and separated from the balance of the lot and adjacent neighbors' properties by fencing and trees, and would be maintained hygienically. C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of this chapter. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Application UP-76-15 is approved, subject to the following conditions: 1. That no more than 9 chickens be kept on the site at any one time except for baby chicks and that the latter be disposed of as rapidly as possible. 2. That the chickens be kept at all times in the rear 17 ft. of the property. 3. That the existing coops be enlarged to accommodate all birds in one structure.
