PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1435 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON MAKING FINDINGS REGARDING <br />THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED <br />REZONING OF APPROXIMATELY 62 ACRES OF LAND OWNED <br />BY ANTHONY MORICI AND VALLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL <br />AND RECOMMENDING ITS FINDINGS TO THE CITY COUNCIL, <br />THE REVIEWING BODY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS. <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report has been prepared for <br />RZ-74-12, the application of Anthony Morici and Valley <br />Memorial Hospital to rezone approximately 62 acres of <br />land located between West Las Positas Boulevard, the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad tracks, the Tassajara Canal <br />and Santa Rita Road from PUD (Planned Unit Development), <br />allowing Industrial Park and Commercial Service uses, <br />to P (Public and Institutional) District, RM-2500 <br />(Multiple Residential with a maximum density of one <br />dwelling unit per 2,500 square feet of lot area) Dis- <br />trict, O (Office) District; and <br />WHEREAS, the EIR was distributed in final form to the Planning <br />Commission on June 18, 1976; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Auqust 11, 1976. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds: <br />1. That the EIR meets the requirements of CEQA. <br />2. That there will be significant adverse impacts <br />associated with the project, including impacts <br />of increased air pollution, traffic congestion, <br />incremental effects on water quality, and down- <br />stream flood control; and <br />3. That the boundaries of the areas affected by these <br />significant effects are those delineated on Page <br />II-23 of Volume II, "Boundaries of the Area Which <br />May Be Significantly Affected." <br />
