PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1448 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDMENT TO ALLOW THE DISTANCE BETWEEN <br />STRUCTURES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS TO BE <br />LESS THAN NOW REQUIRED. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered an amendment <br />to Sec. 2-5.39, Article 3, Chapter 2, Title II of <br />the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton which <br />would allow the distance between structures in <br />residential districts to be less than now required; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing <br />on this amendment and has received pertinent documents, <br />testimony and maps. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommend to the City Council the adoption of said <br />ordinance amendment to read as follows: <br />Section 2-5.39 Yards and Courts Related to Hei ht <br />of a Structure. In addition to the yards prescribed <br />in the Zoning Schedule of Ordinance No. 520, the <br />following regulations shall apply: <br />a. In an R-1 District, main structures exceeding <br />15 feet in height shall be separated by a <br />distance of at least 20 feet; provided however, <br />portions of two structures, only one of which is <br />in excess of 15 feet in height, shall be separated <br />by at least 17 feet. Accessory structures ex- <br />ceeding 15 feet in height shall be separated by a <br />distance of at least 20 feet from any structure <br />greater than 15 feet in height; accessory structures <br />exceeding 15 feet in height shall be separated by <br />a distance of at least 17 feet from any structure <br />less than 15 feet in height. <br />b. In an R-M District, no structure shall exceed the <br />height of a sloping plane 15 feet in height at the <br />interior of the minimum required side yard pre- <br />cribed in the Zoning Schedule of Ordinance No. 520, <br />and sloping away from the side property line 5 feet <br />for each additional 15 feet in height. <br />
