PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON INITIATING AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDMENT FOR THAT PROPERTY ENCOMPASSED BY <br />ANNEXATION NO. 72 AND FOR APPROXIMATELY 37 <br />ACRES OF LAND LYING IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE <br />ANNEXATION 72 LANDS. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, on November 22, 1976, approved the <br />annexation of the property encompassed by Annexation <br />72; and <br />WHEREAS, the property will officially become a part of the <br />City around the middle of December, 1976, as soon as <br />the final annexation maps and documents are certified <br />by the Secretary of State; and <br />WHEREAS, this area, along with properties to the east and west <br />has already been thoroughly studied by the staff; and <br />(WHEREAS, it is staff's position that rezoning of the property <br />at this time be initiated since the property will <br />automatically go into the S (Study) District once <br />it is annexed to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, it is staff's recommendation that in addition to <br />placing zoning on the Annexation 72 property, that an <br />additional 37-acre parcel located immediately east <br />of the annexed land also receive further zoning consi- <br />deration; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on these properties was held on <br />December 8, 1976, at which time staff recommended that <br />
