Finalize the specifications and drawings, and prepare bid <br /> documents to insure competitive bidding among suppliers for <br /> comparable warning systems. <br /> <br />Task 3 - Prebid Services <br /> <br /> a. Answer potential suppliers' prebid inquiries. <br /> b. Assist the City in the evaluation of bids. <br /> <br />Task 4 - Construction Services <br /> <br /> a.' Review of drawings submitted by supplier before start of <br /> construction. <br /> <br /> b. Field supervision, consisting of five inspections during <br /> construction and one final inspection. <br /> <br />It is proposed that compensation for service be based upon a time and <br />expense basis in accordance with CDM's normal rates. It is estimated that <br />the fee will be in the range of $9,000 to $12,000. This estimate is based <br />upon 140 to 180 hours of engineering and technician services at an average <br />rate of $65 per hour. <br /> <br />TINEOF PERF~I~CE <br /> <br />We can begin work within three days of receipt of authorization and can <br />complete Tasks 1 and 2 within four weeks. Tasks 3 and 4 can be performed <br />in accordance with the City's bid and construction schedules. <br /> <br /> <br />
