Pleasanton is hereby amended by an amendment to <br />subsection (e) and the addition of subsection <br />(j), said changes to read as follows: <br />Section 2-9.40 Exempt Signs. The following sig <br />are not subject to the regulations of this artic <br />e. Temporary signs, banners, or displays <br />of an emergency, patriotic, religious, <br />civic, or community nature, provided <br />they are removed within seven (7) days <br />following the event to which they pertain. <br />Signs dealing with candidates for politi- <br />cal office, so long as those signs are not <br />erected on public property or public rights <br />of-way and are placed on private property <br />only with the owner's approval. Said <br />political signs shall not be erected <br />any sooner than the last day of filing <br />nomination papers for the election to <br />which they pertain and shall be removed <br />within seven (7) days following said <br />election. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 10th day of October, 1973, <br />by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners McLain, Pereira, Wood <br />and Chairman Pons <br />Noes: <br />Absent: Commissioner Carrigan <br />Abstain: <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />DATE: October 10, 1973 <br />ATTEST : ~~ <br />Ricardo J.
