PLANNING COMMISSIOPd Pleasanton, California RESOLUTION NO. 1263 A resolution of the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton recommending to the City Council the approval of an amendment to the Ordinance Code pertaining to Political Signs. WHEREAS, an amendment to Section 2-5.28, Article 2, Chapter 2, Title II by the addition of sub- section (f) and an amendment to Section 2-9.40, Article 18, Chapter 2, Title II by an amendment to section (e) and the addition of subsection (j), has come before this Commission, and , WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a hearing on this application and has examined pertinent documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton does hereby recommend to the City Council the adoption of said ordinance amendment to read as follows: Section 1. Section 2-5.28, Article 2, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended by the addition of a sub- section (f) to read as follows: Section 2-5.28 a. ... b. ... c. ... d. ... e. ... f. Signs, political. Apolitical sign shall mean any sign which is designed to in- fluence the action of the voters either for the passage or defeat of a measure appearing on the ballot of any national, state or local election, or which is designed to influence the action of the voters either for the election or defeat of a candidate for nomination or election to any office, whether public or private, partisan or non-partisan, at any national, state or local election. This definition shall include, but not be limited to, the following elections: races for president, congress, governor, legislator, supervisor, city council, school board member, union officer, officer in a local organization, and any honorary position.
