C. Prior to enrollment in a junior college, college, or university, the employee must have received written approval from the Educational Standards Committee as to his/her eligibility to enroll in the Educational Incentive Plan and the job relatedness of the educational level to be pursued. NOTE: No employee shall receive educational incentive pay for any educational level attained unless he/she has received advanced written approval from th~ Educational Standards Committee as set forth in this section. D. The junior college, college, or university from which an educational level is to be received must be accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. 19.5 Educational Levels/Pay Educational levels attained under the Incentive Pay Plan must be completed with a total grade point average of "C" or better. The specific levels of educational achievement and their respective educational pay percentages to which the educational incentive pay plan applies are as follows: Level Pay Percentages A.A. or A.S. Degree 2-1/2% Sixty (60) accredited semester units 2-1/2% or their quarter hour equivalents E.I.T. Certificate - The E.I.T. 2-1/2% Certificate must be accompanied by 60 approved semester units or their quarter hour equivalents to be eligible for incentive pay B.S. or B.A. Degree 5% One hundred twenty semester (120) 5% units or their quarter hour equivalents M.S. or M.A. Degree 5% NOTE: The above educational levels are not cumulative. The maximum educational incentive pay received by a single employee shall not exceed 5%; nor shall an employee receive incentive pay for more than one educational level at the 2-1/2% rate nor more than one educational level at the 5% rate. 19.6 Documentation of Educational Achievement A. Evidence of successful completion of a degree or certificate shall consist of either of the following: 1. Diploma or certificate indicating the major field of study. 2.
