C. Prior to enrollment in a junior college, college, or <br /> university, the employee must have received written <br /> approval from the Educational Standards Committee as to <br /> his/her eligibility to enroll in the Educational Incentive <br /> Plan and the job relatedness of the educational level to <br /> be pursued. <br /> <br /> NOTE: No employee shall receive educational incentive pay <br /> for any educational level attained unless he/she has <br /> received advanced written approval from th~ Educational <br /> Standards Committee as set forth in this section. <br /> <br /> D. The junior college, college, or university from which an <br /> educational level is to be received must be accredited by <br /> the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. <br /> <br />19.5 Educational Levels/Pay <br /> <br /> Educational levels attained under the Incentive Pay Plan must <br /> be completed with a total grade point average of "C" or better. <br /> The specific levels of educational achievement and their <br /> respective educational pay percentages to which the educational <br /> incentive pay plan applies are as follows: <br /> <br /> Level Pay Percentages <br /> A.A. or A.S. Degree 2-1/2% <br /> <br /> Sixty (60) accredited semester units 2-1/2% <br /> or their quarter hour equivalents <br /> <br /> E.I.T. Certificate - The E.I.T. 2-1/2% <br /> Certificate must be accompanied by <br /> 60 approved semester units or their <br /> quarter hour equivalents to be <br /> eligible for incentive pay <br /> <br /> B.S. or B.A. Degree 5% <br /> <br /> One hundred twenty semester (120) 5% <br /> units or their quarter hour equivalents <br /> <br /> M.S. or M.A. Degree 5% <br /> <br /> NOTE: The above educational levels are not cumulative. The <br /> maximum educational incentive pay received by a single employee <br /> shall not exceed 5%; nor shall an employee receive incentive <br /> pay for more than one educational level at the 2-1/2% rate nor <br /> more than one educational level at the 5% rate. <br /> <br />19.6 Documentation of Educational Achievement <br /> <br /> A. Evidence of successful completion of a degree or <br /> certificate shall consist of either of the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Diploma or certificate indicating the major field of <br /> study. <br /> 2. Letter from the college registrar certifying award of <br /> <br /> - 25 - <br /> <br /> <br />
