City of santon <br /> e a <br /> <br /> REP RT <br /> <br /> July 7, 1987 <br /> <br />HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br /> <br />1987-88 City of Pleasanton Operating Budget <br /> <br />Mayor and Members of the Council: <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council reviewed the proposed 1987-88 Operating Budget <br />at a public study session on June 15, 1987. The Council <br />recommends that the following changes be made prior to <br />consideration for adoption. <br /> <br />Council Amendments to Operating Budget <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS AND FIXED <br /> <br /> a) Appropriate up to $66,000 to subsidize community access <br /> television operating costs. The exact amount- will be <br /> determined later, after a review is done to decide what <br /> service levels the City desires, and after the level of <br /> participation by other valley cities has been <br /> determined. <br /> <br /> b) Appropriate $100,000 for the proposed Convention and <br /> Visitors' Bureau. The funds are not to be expended <br /> until January 1988, after Council reviews the program <br /> developed by the Chamber of Commerce and the City. <br /> <br /> PLANNING - Appropriate $50,000 for consultant services to analyze <br /> financing alternatives for public improvements to the downtown. <br /> <br /> SR87:273 <br /> <br /> <br />
