BACKGROUND <br />On October 3, 2006, City Council awarded the contract for this project to Vanguard <br />Construction in the amount of $130,195.00. The City Council also authorized the <br />Director of Public Works to approve change orders up to the contingency amount of <br />$19,500 (15% of the contract), as it is typical that additional damaged sidewalk or curb <br />and gutter is identified during construction.
