THE CITY OF <br />-- <br />~...!. -.. man :: ~~1 i.~. <br />~L£~S~NTON® <br />15 <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />December 4, 2007 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC <br />VANGUARD CONSTRUCTION <br />MAINTENANCE, CIP NO. 055012 <br />IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY <br />FOR ANNUAL SIDEWALK <br />SUMMARY <br />Construction of the subject project is complete and ready for acceptance. This annual <br />project provides for the maintenance and improvement of the City's infrastructure by <br />removing and replacing damaged curb, gutter, sidewalk and driveway, and installation <br />of access ramps. The locations for this project were selected from a list generated by <br />the Streets Division and from direct requests made by residents. (See Attachment 1 for <br />project locations.) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project. <br />3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $14,414.65 to Vanguard <br />Construction thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br />4. Authorize final payment to Vanguard Construction in the amount of $2,901.35. <br />5. Authorize the transfer of the remaining project balance of $5,696 from CIP No. <br />055012 to CIP No. 075012, Annual Sidewalk Maintenance. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />Funding for this project was provided from Annual Sidewalk Replacement, CIP No. <br />055012. A project funding and expenditure summary is provided in Attachment 2. This <br />annual improvement project is expected to decrease long-term maintenance costs. <br />
