20.08.020 Section 907.2.10.1.2 -Groups R-2, R-3, R-3.1, R-4 and I-1 ITEM 6 <br />added. <br />Section 907.2.10.1.2 Residential Group R of the California Building Standards Code <br />2007 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and including by reference the International Building Code, <br />2006 Edition Volumes 1 and 2 is amended by adding Section 310.2.10.1.2 Item 6 to <br />read as follows: <br />6. No R-2, R-3, R-3.1 and R-4 occupancies may be sold or traded in the City of <br />Pleasanton unless and until the seller installs or provides for the installation of smoke <br />detectors in accordance with Section 907.2.10.1.2. This requirement may be met by <br />the seller placing in an escrow account, for the use of the buyer, sufficient funds to pay <br />for said installation. <br />20.08.022 Section 705.1.2 -Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems added. <br />Section 705.1.2 -Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems of the California Building Standards <br />Code 2007 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and including by reference the International Building <br />Code, 2006 Edition Volumes 1 and 2 is amended by adding Section 705.1.2 to read as <br />follows: <br />705.1.2 Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems. Automatic fire sprinkler systems installed in <br />any portion of a building shall be installed in all portions of the building under the same <br />roof regardless of fire walls. <br />Exception: Buildings separated by continuous fire walls of 4-hour fire-resistive <br />construction without openings. Buildings required to have automatic fire sprinkler <br />protection as set forth in Section 13113 of the Health and Safety Code are prohibited <br />from using fire walls in lieu of automatic fire sprinkler protection. <br />20.08.024 Table 1005.1 -Amended -Egress Width per Occupant Served. <br />Table 1005.1 Egress Width per Occupant Served of the California Building Standards <br />Code 2007 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and including by reference the International Building <br />Code, 2006 Edition Volumes 1 and 2 is amended to read as follows: <br />TABLE 1005.1 <br />EGRESS WIDTH PER OCCUPANT SERVED <br />OCCUPANCY WITHOUT WITH <br />SPRINKLER SYSTEM SPRINKLER SYSTEMa <br />34 <br />
