Introduction <br /> <br /> The City of Pleasanton wishes to contract with a consultant <br /> to investigate means of improving and modernizing the <br /> Pleasanton Aquatic Center pool system, in order to <br /> efficiently operate the pools on a seasonal or year round <br /> basis. <br /> <br />II. Description of Facility <br /> <br /> The Pleasanton Aquatic Center consist of three heated, <br /> outdoor pools, a bathhouse, a mechanical house, and a small <br /> snack bar, surrounded by a large deck and grass area. <br /> <br /> Pool I Racing pool (60' x 25M, 3 1/2' - 5 1/2' depth, <br /> 166,000 gallons); completed July, 1970. <br /> <br /> Pool II Shallow training pool (60' x 75', 2 1/2' - <br /> 3 1/2' depth, 100,000 gallons); completed <br /> July, 1970. <br /> <br /> Pool III Deep water pool (40' x 60', 5 1/2' - <br /> 13' depth, 170,000 gallons), with 1 - 1M and <br /> 1 - 3M Arcadia Maxiflex "B" springboards with <br /> Durafirm stands; completed November, 1976. <br /> <br /> The Mechanical system of the pools includes: a vacuum <br /> diatomaceous earth filter system in a common, open pit; a <br /> Regal gas chlorinator system; continuous feed soda and D.E. <br /> dispensers; 2 Lars gas heaters (2,408,000 b.t.u., and <br /> 1,172,800 b.t.u.); and MacBall Heat Saver V pool covers. The <br /> pools presently do not have an automated chemical feed <br /> system. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
