EBMUD provides water to over 1,000,000 Dersons within a 300 <br /> square m~le area w~th~n Alameda and Cont~a Costa C~n~es, The D~str~ct has <br /> contracted w~th t~ Bureau of Reclamation to purchase up to ~50,000 ache-feet <br /> annually from ~he A~r~can R~ver watershed and for delivery by d~ve~s~on <br /> water ~nto the Folsom-South Canal at N~mbus Dam, ~ed~ately.belo~ Folsom <br /> Reservoir. <br /> <br /> A 23-m~le reach of th~ A~can R~ve~ ~s located downstream ~om ~he <br /> d~vers~on. Th~s section of r~ver ~s designated as a W~ld and Scenic ~v~ <br /> ~s ex~ns~ve~y used for scenic and recreational purposes ~nclu~ng swimming, <br /> rafting and f~sh~ng.
