WEED ABATEMENT CONTRACT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 19th day of May, <br />1987, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal <br />corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and 8PILKER TREE <br />SERVICE, INC. (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor"). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has adopted a program for weed abatement <br />pursuant to Government Code §39560, et seq.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has agreed as an independent contractor, <br />to work on an hourly basis to implement the Weed Abatement <br />Program of City pursuant to Resolutions Nos. 87-134, 87-199 and <br />87-211. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE <br />OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, PROMISES AND COVENANT8 CONTAINED <br />HEREIN, THE PARTIES HERETO AGREE A8 FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That Contractor will commence and complete within thirty <br />(30) days of having been notified to commence abatement of weeds <br />on or in front of those properties listed in Resolution No. <br />87-134, less, however, those properties which are certified by <br />the Fire Prevention Officer of the Pleasanton Fire Department to <br />have been abated. <br /> <br /> 2. Contractor shall discharge his obligations under this <br />agreement in accordance with the "Specifications for Weed <br />Abatement," and "Weed Abatement Program Bid Sheet," and "Notice <br />Calling for Bids for the Weed Abatement Program," used in the <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
