The housing shall consist of a cabinet, or cabinets, each of which serve as a base supports ng the table top on which the master intersection display and master computer sit or which stands alone in a vertical configuration. The cabinets shall have the standard 19-inch mounting width and shall be provided with removable or hinged paneling for ease in maintenance accessibility. All components shall be accessible from the front for maintenance or replacement purposes. All cables and. external harnesses shall have sufficient length to allow reasonable movement of the housing from its normal position without disconnections. b. The system master shall be a computer based programmable unit (or units) with sufficient internal and external memory storage and a complete machine cycle time fast enough to accomplish the functional requirements of~these specifications. All hardware and software required for on-line, real time supervisory control of at least 28 local intersection controllers, local 4 surveillance assemblies, or combinations thereof totaling 32, shall be provided. . The system master shall have the capability to accept hardware expansion that will permit it to supervise at least 120 intersectidn controllers and accept input from at least 8 surveillance assemblies or combinations thereof totaling 128, within the original space limitations allowed for the master control console. The system master shall be capable of communicating with the intersection controllers and surveillance assemblies over a 3002 Grade telephone line.
