MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 2, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Cook-Kallio led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />City Attorney provided the following Closed Session, which was held just prior to the regular <br />meeting. <br />Conference with Legal Counsel -Potential Litigation, pursuant to Government <br />Code §54956.9(b): Claim of Larry Joe Soto <br />Conference with Legal Counsel- Existing Litigation, pursuant to Government <br />Code §54956.9(a): Signature Properties et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School <br />District, et al. -Case #RG03113376 <br />City Attorney Michael Roush said the Council met in Closed Session and authorized settlement <br />with regard to the Claim of Larry Joe Soto. He said there was nothing to report out regarding the <br />second matter regarding Signature Properties et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District et al. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Cook-Kallio announce the following upcoming evernts: October 6 & 7 for the <br />Harvest Preview Sidewalk Sale; re-dedication ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Building on <br />Sunday, October 7; Pleasanton Downtown Association is holding its first Octoberfest event this <br />Sunday; October 14"' house Poetry readings; City-sponsored Haunted House event is <br />scheduled for Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26 <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS: None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Administrative Services <br />1.
