She noted that it does not <br />coordinate with the purpose of the Land Use Element. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank replied that while the Airport is not in Pleasanton, the noise is. He <br />noted that 80 percent of the complaints about the airport come from Pleasanton , and <br />50 percent of these complaints come from two homes in Pleasanton. He stated that he <br />wants to ensure that as the City moves forward, it is stated clearly in Planning and <br />disclosure documents so that when people buy homes in Pleasanton, they are aware that <br />there is an airport in this area. He added that it describes the future of how the land will <br />be used and that he did not think it was appropriate to talk about land use without <br />mentioning noise which may impact the uses on that land. <br /> <br />Commissioner Narum noted that Staples Ranch is next to the freeway which would also <br />generate noise.
