CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 87-352 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ET.RMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN (GP-87-7) WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 4, 1987, the City Council considered the report (SR 87:336) from the Director of Planning and Community Development regarding the proposed General Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings on the proposed changes and has made recommendations concerning same; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held by the City Council with respect to the General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on the proposed amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment and adopted Resolution No. 87-351 approving the Negative Declaration; and WHEREAS, Council finds that the selected Land Use Element changes are in the best interests of the public health, safety, and general welfare, that they accommodate the City's share of the regional housing need, that they further the goals and policies of the Housing Element and form an internally consistent set of General Plan policies and programs, and that they are necessary given the environmental and fiscal resources available to the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make changes to the Land Use Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the four times during the calendar year such changes may be made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Council hereby modifies the Growth Management Program and amends the Land Use Element of the General Plan and to accomplish the following:
