CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-352 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE <br /> ET.RMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN (GP-87-7) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 4, 1987, the City Council <br /> considered the report (SR 87:336) from the Director <br /> of Planning and Community Development regarding the <br /> proposed General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings on <br /> the proposed changes and has made recommendations <br /> concerning same; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held by the City <br /> Council with respect to the General Plan Amendment <br /> at which time any member of the public was offered <br /> the opportunity to address the City Council on the <br /> proposed amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative <br /> Declaration was appropriate for the proposed <br /> General Plan Amendment and adopted Resolution No. <br /> 87-351 approving the Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council finds that the selected Land Use Element <br /> changes are in the best interests of the public <br /> health, safety, and general welfare, that they <br /> accommodate the City's share of the regional <br /> housing need, that they further the goals and <br /> policies of the Housing Element and form an <br /> internally consistent set of General Plan policies <br /> and programs, and that they are necessary given the <br /> environmental and fiscal resources available to the <br /> City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make changes to the <br /> Land Use Element of the General Plan at this time <br /> as one of the four times during the calendar year <br /> such changes may be made. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council hereby modifies the Growth Management <br /> Program and amends the Land Use Element of the <br /> General Plan and to accomplish the following: <br /> <br /> <br />
