facilities for park users while maintaining the existing
natural setting. The park site is situated adjacent to
ridge open spaces to the west and south, a golf course,
country club recreational facilities, and large lot
residential uses to the north and south.

May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

3. Geologic Impacts
(hazards, change in topography, erosion, etc.)

The main portion of the park is characterized by steep
topography. Existing trails in the park are proposed to
be upgraded but no new trials are proposed to be
developed. The project also includes improvements to
the staging area which is located in a relatively flat
area. Grading would be limited to development of the
parking areas and other improvements such as lawn and
picnic areas.

May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

4. Air Quality Impacts
(emissions, odors, change in microclimate)

The further development of recreational facilities will
contribute toward the generation of emissions due to the
potential increase in vehicles attracted to the site.
Development of the staging area will be limited to a
fifty-space parking area. Heaviest usage of the
proposed facilities is expected to be during the
non-peak, weekend periods when overall emissions in the
area ace not expected to exceed standards.
×
May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

5. Water Related Impacts
(runoff, flood hazard, quality and quantity of surface
and ground waters)

There are areas of deterioration along existing trails
of the park due to slope drainage. This project
proposed the regrading of damaged areas, and repair of
existing culverts maintain the integrity of drainage
areas and hiking/equestrian trails.

May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

- 3 -
