Resolution No. PC-2007-40, denying Case PAP-108, thereby upholding the Zoning
Administrator's approval of Case PADR-1698, was entered and adopted as
motioned.
At this point, the appellant indicated that he had a question of the Commission.
Commissioner Blank moved to reopen the public hearing for the purpose of
answering the appellant's question, but not for the purpose of reconsidering the
item.
Commissioner Olson seconded the motion.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
AYES: Commissioners Blank, Fox, O'Connor, Olson, and Pearce.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
RECUSED: None.
ABSENT: Commissioner Narum.
The motion passed.
THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED.
Mr. Long requested that the Planning Commission pose the question to the applicant that
upon completion of the work required, there would be no further construction. It had
come to his attention that the applicant may modify the bedroom by pushing it out over
the main garage.
Commissioner Blank noted that the applicant would need to come to the Planning
Department for that action.
Ms. Decker noted that minor modifications were reviewed by staff if they met all the
zoning development standards for straight-zoned property and that they would only go
through the Zoning Administrator process.
In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Olson regarding whether it must be
performed within the eight-month timeline, Ms. Decker replied that if this project were to
be completed and the applicant wished to do further work, that would be considered to be
an administrative design review to be brought before the Zoning Administrator. If it fit
within the development standards for this zone, then it would be given aseven-day
notice. It would be likely that one of the concerned neighbors who had been noticed
would request a hearing before the Zoning Administrator and then before the Planning
Commission if they were dissatisfied with the Zoning Administrator's decision.
THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED.
PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES September 26, 2007 Page 16 of 20
