Future Planning Calendar

Commissioner Narum noted that she had not seen mention of the RV Code update on the
calendar. Ms. Decker noted that a project number had not yet been generated for a Code
amendment at this time. She added that in response to the Commission’s most recent
action, staff was in the process of conducting the research and taking photographs in the
neighborhoods for submission to the Planning Commission as an informational report
under Matters Initiated by Commission Members at a future Commission meeting,
preferably one with a lighter agenda.

Commissioner Olson inquired about the red-tailed hawk application. Ms. Decker noted
that it should be included in the Future Planning Calendar, and staff would add it to the
list. She noted that the calendar has been very full and that a Zoning Administrator
appeal on a PUD modification to reduce the building separation requirements would also
be included.

In response to an inquiry by Commissioner O’Connor regarding whether staff checked
with other municipalities regarding what kind of codes they used, Ms. Decker confirmed
that was part of the process. She noted that it was a very detailed process and that they
analyzed various cities that were consistent with some of the demographics of the
Tri-Valley community. Staff would produce charts for various projects, such as the
sports courts, when relevant.

In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Pearce regarding whether any action had
occurred with the RVs, Ms. Decker replied that there had been no appeal and that the
appeal period had expired.
PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES June 13, 2007 Page 28 of 29
