Task 1-3: Coordination <br /> <br />Meet with Caltrans and the local agencies at the beginning <br />of the design to confirm understandings, requirements, and <br />expectations and timely receipt of Caltrans design directives <br />regarding the project. Coordinate design work for these <br />projects with that for other projects such as the 1-680/I-580 <br />interchange and BART extension in Alameda County. Coordinate <br />technical matters with Caltrans District 4 staff in each <br />specialized area to prepare project plans and confer with <br />Caltrans Office of Structures and FHWA for other technical <br />concerns. <br /> <br />Coordinate with the Cities of Pleasanton and Dublin and <br />Caltrans in scheduling and attending three (3) Project Dev- <br />elopment Team (PDT) meetings during the preliminary design <br />period; additional meetings will be considered extra work. <br />Provide agenda items, participate in discussions, and pre- <br />pare meeting minutes; establish standard agenda items in- <br />cluding issuance and receipt of all Caltrans design <br />directives. Additionally, CONSULTANT will use its best <br />efforts to obtain design directives and changes from <br />Caltrans at the earliest possible time. <br /> <br />Schedule and attend design meetings with the Cities of <br />Pleasanton and Dublin, Caltrans, FHWA, or other affected <br />agencies and organizations required to obtain data, perform <br />project work, and accomplish design requirements. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT will provide technical and nontechnical coor- <br />dination with Caltrans and other governmental agencies as <br />may be needed to submit, expedite, monitor, and secure in- <br />termediate and final approvals during project execution. <br /> <br />The Cities will provide appropriate timely assistance when <br /> <br /> <br />
