CONTRACT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES FOR <br /> NORTH PLEASANTON IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> <br /> HACIENDA DRIVE AND SANTA RITA ROAD INTERCHANGES PROJECT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this day <br /> <br />of ..; 1987, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a <br />municipal California corporation (hereinafter referred to as <br />"CITY"), and CH2M HILL CALIFORNIA, INC., a California corpo- <br />ration (hereinafter referred to as "CONSULTANT"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CITY requires engineering and management ser- <br />vices to prepare for the proposed improvements on 1-580 <br /> <br />(hereinafter referred to as the PROJECT), and other engineer- <br />ing services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the CONSULTANT is duly licensed as a registered <br />Professional Engineer in the State of California, is quali- <br />fied and experienced to provide such services, and has the <br />personnel and facilities necessary to accomplish the work <br />within the required time. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual cove- <br />nants, agreements and conditions contained herein, CITY and <br />CONSULTANT agree as follows: <br /> <br /> ARTICLE 1: CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. The CONSULTANT shall <br />perform professional services required by the CITY for this <br />PROJECT upon receipt of a fully executed AMENDMENT from the <br />CITY. Each AMENDMENT shall list the scope of services to be <br />performed, state the time within which the work is to be <br />completed, delineate any special conditions, state the method <br />of compensation for services, and authorize the CONSULTANT <br />to proceed. It is agreed between the parties to this AGREE- <br />MENT that the CONSULTANT cannot be responsible for delays to <br /> <br /> <br />
