AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON AND CH2M HILL <br /> <br /> AUTHORIZATION OF SERVICES <br /> <br /> FOR PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF THE HACIENDA DRIVE <br /> <br /> AND SANTA RITA ROAD INTERCHANGES PROJECT <br /> <br />1. Purpose: <br /> <br /> The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to authorize and <br /> direct the CONSULTANT to proceed with the work <br /> specified in Item 2 of this AMENDMENT, in accordance <br /> with the provisions of Article 1 of the AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> between the parties hereto dated , <br /> 1987. <br /> <br />2. Scope of Work: <br /> <br /> The work authorized by this AMENDMENT is described in <br /> the "Scope of Services" attached hereto as EXHIBIT "A." <br /> <br />3. Time of Performance: <br /> <br /> If through no fault of the CONSULTANT the work described <br /> in EXHIBIT A of this AMENDMENT is not completed by <br /> January 1, 1989, the remaining work, schedule and cost <br /> shall be renegotiated at the option of the CONSULTANT. <br /> <br />4. Compensation and Payment: <br /> <br /> Compensation for the work authorized by this AMENDMENT <br /> shall be made on a labor and expense basis not to <br /> exceed $490,000. Payment shall be in accordance with <br /> ARTICLE 2 of the AGREEMENT. <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
