,~

(b) Proposed Hacienda Drive/I-580 interchange and
auxiliary lanes on I-580 between Hopyard Road and
Santa Rita Road
(c) Modifications to the existing Santa Rita
Road/I-580 interchange
It is recognized that the NPID proposals will have an effect on nearby
interchanges, particularly the I-580/I-680 interchange. Funding and
programming of improvements to the I-580/I-680 interchange are unknown
at this time; however, inclusion of upgrading studies to the
I-580/I-680 interchange is necessary to insure compatibility with the
NPID proposals. Compatibility with and effects upon the existing
Foothill Road/I-580 interchange and potential interchanges at Amador
Valley Boulevard/I-680 and at Las Positas Boulevard/I-680 will also be
addressed in the Environmental Document.
It is anticipated that a single MOU covering the design and con-
struction stages of all the projects will be prepared. Cooperative
agreements will follow for all work requiring expenditure of funds or
staff services by Caltrans. Four cooperative agreements are antic-
ipated covering:
- All three projects between approval of the Project Study
Report (PSR) and approval of the revised Freeway Agreement
- Design and construction of the Stoneridge Drive/I-680 project
-2-
